I will begin teaching again starting in January. I will be offering Private Lessons, Baby and Toddler classes and Voice Group Classes. I will also be holding some sample classes for Let's Play Music, which will begin next fall. My new home studio is located in the Salmon Creek/Mt. Vista area of Vancouver, WA. Music is one of the best gifts you can give your child! It is a gift that will benefit them throughout their entire lives! So, in honor of the 12 days of Christmas, over the next 12 days I'm going to share 12 benefits of Music Education for a child! On the first day of Christmas... 1. Early musical training helps develop brain areas involved in language and reasoning. It is thought that brain development continues for many years after birth. Recent studies have clearly indicated that musical training physically develops the part of the left side of the brain known to be involved with processing language, and can actually wire the brain's circuits in specific ways.
